Hello there

I'm Dhairya !

Turning questions into discoveries has always been how I understand the world. I didn’t stumble into biomedical engineering by chance; I arrived here through intentional exploration, guided by a fascination with both biology and mathematics, not as opposites but as two puzzle pieces that fit together, and by curiosity and a drive to create meaningful impact I chose this noble pursuit.

Growing up in a country where healthcare is still evolving, I saw how limited access and high costs can stand between people and the care they deserve. This inspired me to build affordable, accessible, and efficient biomedical solutions.

My work ranges from early experiments, like building an ultrasonic assistive cane, to developing low-cost 3D-printed prosthetics integrating EMG control with machine learning. I enjoy tackling challenges from start to finish, understanding the problem, iterating solutions, refining designs, and observing how people interact with technology.

Outside the lab, I am the founder of Yuth Debate Society, a guitarist, photographer, and filmmaker. Learning is my engine, and I thrive on exploring, leading, and creating.

Dhairya Tiwari

I aim to democratize healthcare by designing affordable, accessible, and effective biomedical solutions that improve lives, especially in resource-constrained settings. My goal is to bridge the gap between innovative research and real-world application, translating ideas into devices and technologies that make a tangible difference.

At university, I want to continue exploring genetics, prosthetics, assistive technologies and the integration of AI and machine learning, while gaining in-depth knowledge of other branches of biomedical engineering like medical imaging, medical robots, wearable and implantable technology. I hope to contribute to revolutionary research and remain a lifelong learner, pushing the boundaries of what technology can achieve for human health.

I aspire to make healthcare accessible, take meaningful steps toward impactful solutions, and participate in research that can change lives on a global scale.
